Piper Port in St Jean de Losne, 21170, France

€295,000 VAT PAID
Karanja is a beautiful example of a Piper 49M and is one of those boats that gets photographed wherever she cruises and is very easily cruised by 1 or more people.
She was built by Piper Boats Ltd in the UK for a retired ships captain. Her colours and livery were inspired by the owners first ship in command. She has a unique layout and features. A full length overhang on the rear deck gives great shade and full Flexi teak to the front cabin roof gives a great sunbathing area. The forecabin has rails all around for security and a step to climb onto. There is even a stainless steel davit up there to facilitate lifting of a tender aboard. The flexiteak is featured all around the decks
Certificated to a Category C, she is fitted with all the necessary equipment to meet the specifications and is ideal for use on rivers and canals. At 14.9m she requires no additional licencing or inspections and is an ideal size to be accepted at most marinas, her size is also a benefit when negotiating tight spaces and fits under the tightest of bridges on the European waterways.
Since launching in 2016 the owners enjoyed the pleasures of the river thames before crossing over to France in 2017. She entered Calais and spent a few years meandering through the French canals until she reached Moissac on the canal de Garonne. The owners were enjoying life aboard in this beautiful area before the covid struck. Being based in Australia the travel restrictions proved to be too restrictive so they had Karanja professionally skippered upto St Jean de Losne to the Piper Base. The boats was then had its bottom painted and a full Piper service before being sold to its current Japanese owners. The current owners have truly loved their 2 year adventure and it shows in the condition of the boat currently, it is immaculate and ready for her next adventure
