€245,000 VAT PAID

Arran is a very nice example of the popular 60N Piper design

Built by Piper Boats Ltd in the UK and launched in August 2010, she spent her first year on the Thames before crossing the Channel in 2011. The original owner cruised her extensively throughout Europe before settling in Toulouse. After 13 years of enjoyment by the first owner Arran was sold to the current owner. Piper boats then assisted in bringing the boat from Toulouse upto Piper port where the current owner has taken great pleasure in using Arran as a floating cottage. Currently Arran is having the hull/ decks repainted and the wooden wheelhouse recoated so she will be turn key ready for the 2026 season.

Piper boats has recently done a full service on Arran.

Large double glazed windows and a large dog box means the galley and saloon are flooded with natural light providing good ventilation for those lazy summer nights

Certified to a Category C, she is fitted with all the necessary for use on rivers and European waterways. VHF radio, chartplotter , AIS reciever

At 18.3 long she has a good amount of space to the interior. A kingsize bed in the bow with ensuite heads and a generous side cabin that is home to 2 single guest beds. The saloon area is vast and will accommodate most freestanding furniture. The galley features full sized appliances with an integrated washing machine, Smeg dishwasher and vitrifrigo fridge freezer

Overview

Arran is fully insulated, double glazed and heated throughout. The central heating and hot water is provided by engine, immersion heater or the Harworth Oil Fired Boiler, which heats radiators in the wheelhouse, saloon, master cabin (including the heated towel rail in the ensuite shower room) and the guest cabin.

Arran also benefits from having 400 watts of solar power. This is provided by 4 Flexi panels and controlled by a Victron energy Smart Solar charge controller with Bluetooth connectivity.

Master cabin with ensuite shower room

The master cabin is a very comfortable space with a king-sized island bed, carpeted floor and ample storage. There are built-in units with shelves and drawers and a full double wardrobe, plus further storage in drawers under the mattress. There are reading lights to each side of bed and a small vanity unit with a mirror.

The large, ensuite shower room features a walk-in shower and a heated towel rail. There’s a wash basin with a mixer tap and storage, and the toilet is Jabsco with an electric flush/macerator system.

The guest cabin

Arran has a very comfortable guest cabin that offers twin single beds and plenty of storage

Guest toilet

Directly opposite the guest cabin is the main bathroom of the boat. again featuring a Jabsco 24v toilet, washbasin, heated towel rail and full size shower enclosure

Saloon/Galley

The salon is a large open plan saloon that will accommodate full size sofas and chairs. On the stb side there is a run of cabinets and TV unit. The reflex stove is a great feature that sits on the corner of the saloon. This natural draft boiler features its own dedicated 400 ltr fuel tank.

The galley is openplan to the saloon and has a clever fold up table which is a great socialising space . The galley features Black composite worktops, stainless steel sink, full size washing machine, dishwasher, fridge freezer and microwave

The Wheelhouse/convertible dinette

Steps lead up from the saloon to the wheelhouse, a wonderful area to relax and enjoy the views, especially on warm sunny days.

The dinette table with built-in seating is the perfect spot to enjoy a meal with friends. It also converts into a double bed.

The weelhouse on Arran is a folddown wheelhouse which reduces the airdraft of the boat to 2.1m. You never need to fold this down in Europe but it is a nice feature to have the ability to cruise around with “the top down”

In addition the complete front screen folds down flat for superb ventilation . A deep lazarette on the back deck provides even more storage for bulkier items such as BBQ’s, ropes, hoses, buckets, pressure washers etc.

Engine Room

Steps lead down into the engine room from the wheelhouse where you will find the Victron electrical system, the battery bank, the Keel cooled engine cooling system, 5kw diesel generator, Hot water tank, harworth boiler and 75 Litre Hot Water Tank, Weed Hatch inspection point, storage for tools and equipment, and central to the space is the Vetus deutz engine ( under 2500  hours ) turbo charged engine coupled to a PRM hydraulic gearbox. The tumble drier is also in the engine room for those days where the sun does not shine

Cruising and Navigation Equipment

Located on the dashboard area in the wheelhouse are all the controls needed for when on the move. There is a selection of switches that control the navigation lights, horn, windscreen wiper, steaming light, anchor light and deck lights. There are numerous gauges that provides information regarding RPM, oil pressure, battery voltage and temperature, Rudder angle and water depth. The Raymarine VHF DSC radio is installed here along with Chart Plotter and AIS. The proportional Joystick for the Bow Thrusters are also located here.
